TIPS FOR BRAINSTORMING

Brainstorming is one of the most popular and effective ways to get a writing project started! It requires only something to write with and a bit of paper!
Here are some tips to make this easy-to-use strategy even more effective:
- Bulleted lists and point-form notes work best!
- Don't bother with full sentences at this point.
- Write down EVERYTHING that comes to mind!
- Try setting a goal for yourself:
I won't stop until I have 10 good ideas on the page!
WRITE IT DOWN!
Ideas for writing sometimes come up at the strangest times! Write them down then and there so you don't forget them!
At those times, most anything you can write on or with will do — a napkin, a crayon! Just be sure to put those notes somewhere safe when you're done so that you don't lose them!
You might also want to keep a small notebook with you at all times.
