There is an art to choosing a good topic for a writing assignment. The choices you make at the very beginning of a project can help you finish it successfully — or doom it to failure!

This page offers some tips that can save you time, improve the quality of your writing and help you to earn better marks.

TIP #1

For small projects like journal entries and short stories, it is usually best to choose a topic that will get you writing about things you have personally experienced — or a subject that you understand very well.
