TWO WAYS TO GET THEM
Written by THRIVE Program Teacher, Tyson Schoeber • Last Updated: 10-12-2014
We offer these files to you for free with only one condition — that the cards you produce not be re-sold for a profit! You may charge the families of the students you're working with what you must pay to get them printed, but no more. Freely we have received, freely we should give!
With that in mind, if you'd like some of our Drill Cards, you have a couple of options:
BUY THEM FROM US — AT COST
If you only need a small number of sets, your best approach is probably to purchase printed sets directly from us.
The printshop in the Vancouver School District produces cards for us as we need them. Currently, a full set of cards cost us $15 to print and assemble — and we'll happily resell them to you for the same price! We do not charge anything extra for
shipping and handling and have never made a penny off the cards. Simply contact me to arrange for pickup or delivery.
PRINT THEM YOURSELF
If you think you'll need a large number of sets (i.e. more than 20) and are comfortable arranging the printing yourself, simply download the PDF files here.
Here are a couple of tips that you may find helpful:
- The PDFs were designed to be printed in the most economical way possible — and that meant using 11" x 17" heavy cardstock. The downside of this approach is that these files can only be printed in a professional printshop. They cannot be printed on standard home printers!
- The sorting of the printed cards into sets is a labor intensive process. If you plan to do that sorting yourself, you may want to arrange a volunteer work party! Your printshop may also be able to do it for you but they will probably charge you extra for the time involved.
